WCYT Funding for Group Activity Days

We are delighted to announce that West Cornwall Youth Trust (WCYT) have funded BF Adventure once again, enabling the charity to offer heavily subsidized adventurous activity days to give young people the opportunity to engage in positive activities and experience outdoor adventure. Subsidised Youth Group programming will help children and young people identified through youth groups, community groups or other child and youth agencies, who would benefit from positive activity days. Funding will allow groups to spend the day at BF Adventure for a cost of £5 per person instead of the usual £33 per person*

WCYT was established in 2010 to provide support to deserving young people in Cornwall, with a view to enabling them to take part in worthwhile activities that they may otherwise not be able to afford. The trust specifically aim to help young people between the ages of 10 and 21, who may be:

  • Underprivileged
  • Seriously financially constrained
  • Socially disadvantaged
  • Disabled

West Cornwall Youth Trust believe that life is for living. Young people who take part in challenging and broadening experiences come out the other side with invaluable life lessons – which help as they continue on the path to adulthood.

The funding BF Adventure has received will be offered to groups and clubs in West Cornwall, to find out more about the funding and/or to book your club for a day of activities contact us bookings@bfadventure.org 01326 340912 (Please quote WYCT at the time of booking)

*£5 subsidy refers to the per person cost and relates to a full day of activities from 10:00 to 15:00 and includes 3 activities (Adventure Quarry, Rafted Canoeing and a third option)

I am the Club Secretary for Mullion Surf Life Saving Club. We restarted the Club last year after the storms of 2013 destroyed the Clubhouse and washed away all the kit. We started with a completely new Committee and have spent the last year training people to become coaches and lifeguards. WE would love to come to BF as a group as we need to do some team building for our coaches and lifeguards, as well a few children (we haven’t started enrolment yet as we need to get coaches up and running). Would you be able to host this for us? There are 14-16 adults and around the same number of children (depending on the ages you can take). Many thanks, Juliet Mitchell
