Pittys London Marathon 2018

Neil Pitt is 42 years old and is running his first marathon, we are really excited that he has chosen BF Adventure for his Charity. Neil went to Redruth School and lives locally in Camborne with his wife Lisa and two daughters Lauren & Hannah (and a border terrier…should say terrorist! called Chloe)

He has been in the Navy 25 years having joined in 1992 and spent a lot of his career at RNAS Culdrose as an Aircraft Mechanic, which is where he first was made aware of our charity. In around 2009 Neil brought a few teams over to help out on the site, working on desperately needed site work and clearing, and has been returning ever since. Neil said ‘I’ve always been impressed with your work and think its a great local charity that deserves as much support as possible…..to be honest the Rowes Pasty you all bought us a couple of years ago for helping out probably clinched it ;)’
Neil now works at Dartmouth as a leadership Instructor doing some leadership theory classroom stuff and then takes groups into the Brecon Beacons every couple of weeks to do Mountain Biking & Hill Walking, although don’t assume he is some great fitness fanatic as this marathon will be a massive challenge. He says ‘my body frame is not exactly svelte like!’
The fundraising target is currently £300 on the website, but he is hoping to smash that. £300 would allow 3 young people to spend a day at BF Adventure in a group session, think how many young people and children we could help if we smashed the target!

Please support Neil on his journey, if everyone donates just a few pounds we could smash the target and help more young people.
