Welcome! Whether you’re a parent/guardian, teacher, work in social care/CAMHS or are any other referrer, we’d love to help. We operate from two sites, near Penryn and Bodmin as we look to provide provision to children and young people across the county. We run a 3 step referral process – check it out, along with our FAQs below. We hope this will be helpful, but please get in touch if you’d like to chat!
Step 1
Read through our Skills for Life Programme Booklet carefully. Then contact us to find out more about our programmes, discuss any potential referral and express an interest in provision. 01326 340912 / enquiries@bfadventure.org
Step 2
Unless you’ve already discussed with us, we ask that you first secure funding and transport before sending in a referral. This keeps our waiting list moving smoothly. If you need support with funding, or have any other questions, please contact us.
Step 3
Begin the service request process – see our Service Request Form and information on the step by step process. This also describes the follow up you can expect to receive from us following the completion of your service request form.

Does BF Adventure provide funding for the session costs?
Sometimes! We have funded programmes during school holidays – please see our social media for details. We also have access to a bursary pot aligned to young people with specific needs. Please email the referral team for more information referrals@bfadventure.org
Does BF Adventure provide transport?
Unfortunately BF Adventure cannot fund or provide transport to our sites.
Where does BF Adventure operate from?
We operate from Goodygrane (Goodygrane Activity Centre, Halvasso, Longdowns, Penryn TR10 9BX) and Nine Ashes (Nine Ashes Activity Centre, Old School Ln, Washaway, Bodmin PL30 3AD).
I’m a parent, can I refer my child myself?
Yes, we accept referrals from parents directly but there may be some restrictions on what provision we are able to offer depending on legislation. Please speak to the referrals team for more information referrals@bfadventure.org
How accessible are the sites?
What do young people need to bring to their sessions?

What should I do if the weather is bad?
BF Adventure operates in all weathers, so we recommend young people bring suitable clothing! During extreme weather events we assess the risk and provide updates through our social media channels and endeavour to make direct contact with parents/carers/referrers.
How should I let you know if my child is ill and can’t attend?
What can I do whilst my child is on the waiting list?

What should I do if the provision is no longer needed?
Please contact the named Coordinator responsible for the young person. Please note we require a 4 week notice period – take a look at our cancellation policy.
Where I can I find your Risk Assessments and Safeguarding Policy?
You can find our risk assessments incorporated into our Normal Operating Procedures.Our Safeguarding Policy is within our main Policy Handbook. If there is anything else you need do let us know.
