The final weeks of the NCS experience
What happens in the final week’s of NCS?
This is when the young people get the opportunity to make a huge difference in their local areas.
There have been some fantastic projects completed in previous years that have benefited the local communities in many ways. I’m sure the young people will come up with some more great projects this summer and we can’t wait to see the impact they will have.
Any ideas of how the young people this year could make a difference?
Do you know of a local charity that needs volunteers to help them achieve their goals? A certain area that could benefit from a group of young people investing some time and energy on a specific project?
Would you like to get involved?
Would you yourself like to get involved and share some ideas with these young people? Perhaps you have set up your own business that helps others or have some great ideas for some local projects that need to be completed?
We would love to hear from you and invite you to spend some time sharing your knowledge and experience with everybody, pointing them in the right direction for their social action projects. Just a few hours of your time could have a lifelong impact on the young people.
Please get in touch either by phone 01326 340912 or email email@example.com if you would be interested in getting involved.
Where will week’s 3 & 4 take place?
This all happens in the local community and will be down to the young people to decide where they want their project base to be.
The focus for week’s 3 & 4
This phase is about social action. Each team will design their social action project based upon their needs assessment of the locality. It will then be time to put their social action project into practice.
Keep checking back to see how everything is coming together for summer.
Please don’t forget to keep an eye out in September to read about what projects were completed and the impact they have had on the local communities.
Upcoming NCS Events
Please don’t forget that we have some NCS events coming up soon here at the BF Adventure site. This Thursday, the 2nd May, we will be holding an anxiety and exam stress workshop, and then on Saturday 25th May a pre programme BBQ. Both evenings will be a great opportunity to find out more and meet people who have already signed up.
