To improve our facilities at BF Adventure we desperately need to refurbish the Adventure Quarry and residential area. The Adventure Quarry was built in 2008 and was officially opened by Ed Coode on 10th July. The initial project was funded by ‘Access for All’ Project Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund Natural England. Since the opening of the Adventure Quarry there has been running repairs only except for the addition of the Accessible Abseil Ramp in 2012.
The Residential Facilities are a fantastic asset to BF Adventure and are very popular. At present there is a fully accessible toilet block with washing facilities, ridge back and bell tents and 2 camping rooms. In 2014 we received incredible community support and built our first permanent building, the kitchen/ conference room. This is a fantastic space that can be used for onsite residential groups, instructors, visitors and our commercial programmes. We would like to continue to expand the residential area to provide better accessible onsite facilities.
Please make a pledge and help us provide more inclusive and accessible facilities for disadvantaged and disabled adults and children in Cornwall!
