BF Adventure is proud to be joining Cornwall Association of Primary Heads (CAPH) as a new partner. The organisation based at Goodygrane Activity Centre near Falmouth was established in 1989 by a group of individuals who recognised the potential of using the outdoor environment to positively influence the physical and mental wellbeing of children and young people.
Today the charity operates across the county of Cornwall with an excellent staff team and skilled group of Volunteers. BF Adventure works with statutory bodies and voluntary and private sector organisations concerned with the well-being of young people, particularly those disadvantaged through social deprivation, physical and mental disability, and behavioural or learning difficulties. To directly support the Charity BF Adventure also has many years’ experience providing multi activity days and residentials for schools from throughout Cornwall and beyond.
CAPH is a Co-operative Community Interest Company dedicated to supporting and improving primary education in Cornwall. Through support for school leaders and member schools, we can be a vehicle for innovation in schools and raise the achievements and aspirations of pupils and staff.
Katie Chandler from CAPH says, “We are delighted to work with BF Adventure to provide greater support for primary schools in Cornwall. Both organisations are dedicated to bringing about positive change for the young people in our care. We see great opportunities for CAPH and BF Adventure to work together to develop some exciting programmes.”
Paul Cox, Skills for Life Co-ordinator at BF Adventure says, “It is incredibly exciting to be partnering CAPH, it will enable us to provide intervention at the earliest opportunity for the most vulnerable primary students in Cornwall. We are really looking forward to working with CAPH and offering support where it is most needed.”
