What you need to bring and FAQ’s answered…

  • When you turn up for the first time a member of staff will meet you and introduce you to the Centre and the group. We will make this pretty informal so that you fit in quickly.
  • If the group is at the start of a new programme you will have the opportunity to get involved with planning the activities.
  • You need to wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty, plus warm stuff as we are outside a lot of the time.
  • You need to bring a change of clothes and shoes, warm jacket and swimming gear and a towel in case you go swimming, canoeing or surfing.
  • Bring lots of food and drink! Try hard to bring sandwiches or pasty with fruit and juice rather that tons of crisps, sweets and fizzy drinks. Sugary stuff will not give you the energy to do the activities or help you to concentrate on doing well.
  • Don’t bring anything that’s important to you or valuable...iPods do not work well 3 metres under water at the bottom of a quarry!
