On 10th November we attended the Energyfund awards at the Eden project and were delighted to receive full funding for this scheme. Thank you for all your votes showing huge community support and helping us win this fund, we could not have done it with out you.

We plan to install 10Kw of SolarPV upon our new Community built kitchen#bigkitchenbuild, meeting our power consumption needs, saving us vital funds to focus on our supportive services AND generating an income to feed into a fund to support some of Cornwall's most disadvantaged young people.

This March in partnership with Community Power Cornwall, Energy Fund and EDF Energy we switched on a 10KW Turbine on site, this meets approximately half of our annual power consumption needs and is already saving us money which we can redirect to support our work.

We now wish to install a further 7KW of roof mounted Solar PV and a 3KW ground array, this total generation capacity will match our annual consumption, power all our needs including our bore hole making the site virtually self sufficient! The funders of our bore hole - the Tanner Trust have agreed to match fund £5000 towards this project and in partnership with Community Power Cornwall the wider community can support through a micro generation share scheme BUT we still require significant funds to make this a reality so please show your support and help make a real difference to the future of Cornwall
