In 1:1 or small peer groups, young people will be supported through the medium of the outdoor activities to develop in the following key areas:
Organisation Problem Solving Socialisation Personal Skills Communication Creativity Numeracy Literacy Health and Well Being
As well as gaining access to physical activities to challenge and inspire them.
Participants will set personal targets and have the opportunity to achieve in-house activity certificates and AQA awards.
Reports showing progression and measurable outcomes are produced at the end of each term.
The Skills for Work programme aims to support young people who are either NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), or are at risk of becoming NEET. The programme provides a choice of accredited and non-accredited courses in a range of industries and disciplines, all designed to give each young person valuable experience and skills to prepare them for progression into further learning, training and employment.
