BF Adventure will be having an open day on 15th August 2015  where they will be opening the doors for friends and families to enjoy adventures, challenges and most importantly fun at BF Adventure HQ! You can design your own day of adventures or a mini break. The site will be open for 24 hours so you can enjoy sleeping under the stars and listening to the owls by night, a special night walk will be arranged and there will be story telling around the fire pit.

The aim of the open day is to raise funds for the vital refurbishment of the inclusive and accessible Adventure Challenge Quarry and onsite Residential facilities. The Adventure Quarry was built in 2008 and was officially opened by Ed Coode on 10th July. Since the opening of the Adventure Quarry there have only been running repairs except for the addition of the Accessible Abseil Ramp in 2012.

Santander have match funded the Crowdfunder appeal with a cheque for the sum of £4,960. Alison Thomas, Branch Director at Santander Falmouth branch visited the site on Monday to present the cheque to CEO Adrian Richards.

Adrian Richards, CEO says, “We would like to thank Santander for their continued support of our Charity, each year we help hundreds of disadvantaged and disabled children and adults get back into education and employment. The inclusive and accessible Adventure Quarry is a fantastic asset to our site and provides disabled users the opportunity to experience outdoor adventure without restrictions.”

Clare Davison, Marketing Coordinator says, “We are offering excellent Crowdfunder rewards from Rock Climbing, Archery, Zip Wire and Canoe sessions and an evening BBQ to a full day of activities, evening entertainment and sleeping accommodation in the camping room for 12! The open day is going to be a brilliant event so please support our campaign and make a pledge!”
