Join NCS (National Citizen Service) this Autumn!

NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that helps you build your skills for work and life. It allows you to take on new challenges and meet new friends. It is an inclusive, part-residential programme for year 11 and year 12 students that takes place across the country in the spring half-term, after your exams in the summer or in autumn half- term. This half term there is a fantastic opportunity to join other young people in an experience of a lifetime.

Starting with a 3 night residential at BF Adventure learning team building, challenge, leadership and communication skills whilst abseiling, climbing, canoeing and having fun! Followed by 3 days in the community using your new skills to explore your community, discover, plan and design your Social Action Plan. When implementing your plan you will need many skills, which you will learn, including fundraising, sourcing materials and marketing. Once you have decided upon your Social Action Plan you will then implement it.

On completion of your project you and your team will have an incredible addition for your CV and will have had an awful lot of fun doing it. Previous students have said “it was the best time ever, I didn’t want it to end!”
