This programme works well with school or college students who are lacking motivation, have poor attendance and are at risk of dropping out, and can also be a positive progression or link from Freestyle to E2E.
The 5 day “Out of school enterprise project” is led by the CIE (Cornwall Institute for Enterprise) is based on enterprise and innovation.
Participants will plan and lead exciting outdoor challenges requiring:
- Team work
- Budgeting skills
- Working under pressure
- Innovative thinking
...whilst developing important life skills such as:
- Confidence
- Communication
- Leadership
- Motivation
- Resilience
During their stay young people will also be able to gain achievement awards. After completion participants will re-engage positively into training or education.
Referral Process
Individuals or groups who fit the eligibility criteria can be referred from schools, colleges or youth workers including Connexions advisors.
Transport
We will support transport needs with mini bus pick-ups and payment of public transport costs where possible.
