E2E (Entry to Employment) fully funded
Ideal for
Young People aged 16 – 18 year olds who are NEET ('not in education, employment or training) or are at risk of 'disengaging' from school or college and would benefit from activities that will support them to stay engaged and improve their employability skills.
The programme builds an ideal stepping stone to progress into further training or employment. Participants are entitled to a weekly EMA up to £30.
When
This programme runs 3 days a week for up to 22 weeks. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of adventurous outdoor activities, develop transferable life skills and achieve an ASDAN Employability Award.
E2E consists of individually designed programmes within an overarching framework which will respond flexibly to meet learners’ needs and will offer a range of provision including the following key elements:
- Basic and key skills and NVQ Level 1 or Level 2 units
- Personal development opportunities
- Vocational knowledge and skills
- Employability skills including problem solving and effective thinking
- Team work
- Work placements / Volunteering opportunities
- Citizenship knowledge and awareness
Referral process
Referrals are made through Connexions advisors. If you are interested in this programme, or identify someone who may benefit from this programme please contact the school or local area Connexions office (link to Connexions website) who will be able to link you with a personal advisor.
Transport
Transport can be arranged if the participant lives in the Helston/Falmouth area. We accept young people from all areas including Penzance and Truro and will arrange our pick ups to align with bus or train times.
