Raft Building
Our stunning deep water quarry tucked away at the heart of our site is where our open canoeing, kayaking, and raft building sessions take place!
The quarry is equipment with separate male and female changing rooms and full safety equipment as well as wetsuits that can be borrowed to allow you to fully enjoy the water without feeling the cold.
Raft building is a technical challenge as well as a challenging team building activity; test your construction skills as you tie knots, lash barrels and wood together under the instruction and supervision from, our team. Work together to create a raft to accommodate all of your team and that is strong enough to face the challenges ahead!
Once your raft is launched onto the quarry, watch as the other team’s raft disintegrates while the teams paddle to reach their destination. Recue that ‘damsel in distress’ and race back to victory. Will anyone stay dry? Will your raft stay in one piece? Are you up for the ultimate team challenge in Cornwall?
The difficulty of the raft build can be adjusted to suit the needs of the group and the types of rafts built can be altered for different age ranges, meaning this activity is fun, crazy, educational and suitable for all!!
Book a taster session (2 hrs) for £20 per person or add another activity and enjoy a full day for £30. Minimum number is 5 or 6 people.
