Kayaking in Cornwall
Our stunning deep water quarry tucked away at the heart of our site is where our open canoeing, kayaking, and raft building sessions take place!
The quarry is equipped with separate male and female changing rooms and full safety equipment as well as wetsuits that can be borrowed to allow you to fully enjoy the water without feeling the cold.
Kayaking is a close cousin to canoeing and they are often confused! Here at BF Adventure we offer both ‘sit – in’ or ‘closed cockpit’ kayaks as well as the ‘sit on tops’ that you see many people paddling along the coastline. As with the open canoeing you will get to experience our beautiful canoeing quarry at its best as you will be close to the water and able to manoeuvre about to get as up close and personal with nature as possible.
Our 2 hour taster sessions are tailored to meet your needs and designed to be fun whilst introducing you to basic skills of kayaking to enable you to paddle forward, turn in a circle, stop and get out of your boat. During the session you will have opportunity to play games, splash and race each other in a crazy dash across the quarry!
Book a taster session (2 hrs) for £20 per person or add another activity and enjoy a full day for £30. Minimum number is 5 or 6 people.
Experienced Kayaker?
If you have previous experience of kayaking we do offer offsite trips to Maenporth Beach just outside Falmouth to allow you to test your skills in the sea!! This will include a full days tuition and prices start at £30 for a half day and £45 for a full day. The minimum charge is £150/£250.
