Canoeing in Cornwall
Our stunning deep water quarry tucked away at the heart of our site is where our open canoeing, kayaking, and raft building sessions take place!
The quarry is equipped with separate male and female changing rooms. We provide full safety equipment as well as wetsuits which can be borrowed to allow you to fully enjoy the water without feeling the cold.
We use a variety of open Canadian canoes that you can paddle tandem or solo. Our fully qualified instructors will keep a watchful eye over you as you learn the vital strokes needed to control the canoe. You'll get a real taste of adventure as you enjoy the scenery and relaxing atmosphere of the quarry from your canoe.
For the slightly nervous or more team orientated groups we raft 2 Canadians together to create a boat suitable for 4-6 people to paddle. These boats cannot be capsized and are ideal for races, moving around and playing games in and generally having fun if you fancy a wilder session!
All Canadian canoeing sessions can be tailored to meet your needs whether you would like to learn skills and techniques that can be progressed in the future, possibly to one of our open water adventures or weather you simply want to splash around, play games and get wet!!
Book a taster session (2 hrs) for £20 per person or add another activity and enjoy a full day for £30. Minimum number is 5 or 6 people.
We also offer offsite river adventures on the River Fal and other waters in Cornwall to test your canoeing in the ‘wild’. These days will however require you to have some previous canoeing skills.
Prices for offsite canoeing sessions start from £45 for a full day and £30 for a half day. Minimum charge is £250/£150.
