What is Abseiling?
Abseiling is a rope technique that allows descent of a steep rock slope it has been used by climbers and mountaineers for decades as a way of retreating off high alpine climbing routes and now is one of the most popular outdoor recreational activities!
Abseiling in Cornwall is becoming increasingly popular as the craggy coastline provides the perfect opportunity for the sport. It is an amazing adrenaline rush and a challenge that will really push you to your limits in a safe and controlled environment. You will be rewarded by amazing views of our adventure quarry as you try your hands at one or both of our 2 abseils on site both of which vary in gradient but are equally exhilarating.
Starting at the top of the cliff with the gabions and problem solving challenges spanned below you. The instructors will carefully explain everything thoroughly, introduce you to equipment, show you the technique and then in true ‘mission impossible’ style you’ll set off abseiling down to the bottom. Try ‘bouncing’ your way down the rock if you dare!
Sessions last 2 hours for a specific abseil taster session or abseiling can be included in a multi day alongside our other activities.
Book a taster session (2 hrs) for £20 per person or add another activity and enjoy a full day for £30. Minimum number is 5 or 6 people. Can also be booked a Abseiling and Rock climbing session!
